Jakarta – BRIN Public Relations. After completing the integration process of 5 main research entities, namely BATAN, BPPT, LAPAN, LIPI and the Ministry of Research and Technology into the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) on 16 December 2021, the process of integrating Research & Development units was continued to stage 2. This second stage of integration covers 28 Ministries/Institutions (K/L).
This was conveyed by Head of BRIN, Laksana Tri Handoko in the Leadership Meeting (Rapim) held at the office of the Nuclear Energy Research Organization (ORTN) – Pasar Jumat Nuclear Area, Jakarta on Wednesday (5/1). All employees who join BRIN in this 2nd stage of integration will be issued Decision Letter (SK) for integration effective as from 1 January 2022.
Handoko welcomed all employees as a result of the 2nd stage of integration into BRIN and ensured them that BRIN is responsible for their salaries and R&D needs. “To all members of BRIN big family, especially our new family members, welcome again. Hopefully BRIN can be a place for you to land and a place for you to have careers in the future. I am sure that you can contribute better to this nation and country,” said Handoko
He emphasized that BRIN still opens opportunities for employees who have not yet joined collectively in the second stage of integration process. The opportunity to join BRIN can be through the regular path, namely by choosing a work unit according to his/her preferences and complying with the stipulated requirements.
“We will complete the collective transfer until 31 January 2022. After that date, it does not mean that you cannot join BRIN. You are still allowed to, but through the regular path under applicable terms and conditions, such as having doctoral degree education qualifications and accepted or approved by the relevant Head of Research Organization or the Head of Research Center,” said Handoko.
With regard to the filling of positions of Heads of Research Organizations and Heads of Research Centers which are currently still assumed by Acting Officers (Plt), Handoko guarantees that open bidding will be carried out. Hence, BRIN employees who have met the requirements can apply to fill these positions through the specified mechanism.
“For Heads of ROs and Heads of RCs, I make sure it will be done openly. You can register yourself. The requirements are simple, for Heads of RCs you should be minimum a Senior Researcher while for Heads of ROs you should be minimum a Principal Researcher, and also has a Doctoral degree,” explained Handoko.
The BRIN Leadership Meeting activity under the theme “Integration of Research and Innovation into BRIN” was attended by leaders at the Echelon I and Echelon II levels discussing the progress of the 2nd stage of transition of Human Resources (HR) from R&D units in 28 ministries/institutions to BRIN and discussing the work plans including the potential problems and solutions that must be carried out in the 2022 Fiscal Year.
